    Sunday Books and Stuff #3

Happy 4am Sunday! Yep, I’m awake early…again. This is becoming a normal thing, which I suppose is fine since my schedule shifts soon and I’ll be busier, earlier on most days. Reading |I have two books up my sleeve right now. I’ve made a return to Dread Nation, by Justina Ireland. I started it months ago on audio, and the audiobook was WONDERFUL, but I was still wrestling with a slump. I decided to start over completely, and I’m reading it on my Kindle this time. I’m loving it as much as I did the first time. I’m also reading through Whatever Happened to Interracial Love? by Kathleen Collins. It’s been ages since I finished a short story collection, but I think this collection is just the…

    Sunday Books and Stuff

Happy Sunday, folks! It’s a lazy one here. My husband is out running errands, but Greyson and I had coffee with my mom (coffee for us, cartoons for him). There’s some crochet in my near, near future, and we may go out for some archery this afternoon. That’s about it! Now, on to the books and stuff! Reading | Don’t tell, but I still have a few pages of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina to finish up. I’m also in the middle of Jen Hatmaker’s For the Love: Fighting for Grace in a World of Impossible Standards for #nonficnov. Listening | All podcasts all the time. Since Spooked! ended for the season,…

    Love Better

I spend a lot of time second guessing myself lately. Professional decisions loom large, my faith is constantly tested, my patience is frayed. The only thing I know for sure is that I am called to write. To lay down these words at the altar of hope. Two days ago, a gunman, a homegrown hate criminal, dealt death to 11 individuals in a Pittsburg synagogue because he had a perverted idea that Jews are the enemy of his (white) people. I won't even go into how this situation has been heightened and incited by US political leaders. You already know. I have struggled over and over again with how to…
