Best Covers of the Year! #amonthoffaves
Thank you, Kim, Tanya, and Tamara for co-hosting #AMonthofFaves with me!
Favorite Book Covers From Our Reads This Year #AMonthofFaves – what did you like about each one?

Inspired by Rachel Held Evans is everything I love in a cover. I adore the black/white contrast, the illustrative style, and the fantastic typography.

You Are Free: Be Who You Already Are by Rebekah Lyons is another cover that wins big in the typography department. Doesn’t this look like something fabulous you’d print for your wall?

Be Prepared by Vera Brosgol is one of my favorite comics of the year, and in large part I owe that to the art style. It’s so dang cute!

The Wedding Date by Jasmine Guillory is another one that I find irresistable for the typography and illustration, but let’s be honest…I also have a thing for red if you hadn’t noticed.
Let us know what your favorite covers have been by linking up down below! I hope you all had a very merry Christmas…or maybe just an awesome Tuesday!

I love these, makes me want to paint. I’m working on book cover art just because and these give me great ideas. Lovely blog. 🙂

Oooh! I need to drop in on your Insta more often to see if you’ve posted painting pics! Love your work, Denise!

It was so much fun. I definitely don’t think it’s gotten enough love.

I love the You Are Free cover. I swear I could totally see this as a poster you could find on Etsy! Great choices.
Andi
RIGHT??? Exactly my thoughts.

I LOVE the cover for You Are Free. Rebekah Lyons has been popping up in my Instagram feed lately so I need to check her books out.
And I have The Wedding Date on my TBR. I think it’ll be my next read once I’m done This Is How It Always Is by Laurie Frankel.
Andi
I’ll definitely be seeking out more by Rebekah Lyons. I really, really enjoyed this one, though if you’re looking for more in this vein, I would definitely recommend Rachel Held Evans and Sarah Bessey as well. I can’t remember if you and I have talked about them.
I hope you enjoy, The Wedding Date! It was a fun one.

Children of Blood and Bone was my favorite cover of the year! I love the Wedding Date as well. I’m actually reading that very book right now!
Andi
Awesome! How are you liking The Wedding Date? Sadly, I didn’t have as much luck with her most recent book. Not sure if it was a mood thing or what.
